Company History

Caster Technology Corporation has come a long way in the last 25 years. Through it all, we have been able to maintain a laser-like focus on the values that matter most: serving the needs of every customer as if they are our only customer.

The company you know today as Caster Technology Corporation actually started off as Far West Caster Corporation back in 1984. Brothers Karl and David Elles founded the company as a part-time venture as they learned the industry. In a little 900 square foot building in Tustin, California, the two brothers started filling caster orders with a measure of dependability and personal service that quickly led to more referrals into more facilities. Soon enough, their Tustin facility was bursting at the seams, triggering a move in 1988 to a 10,000 square foot building in Huntington Beach, California. Caster Tech remained there until 1991, when we purchased our current facility in Garden Grove, California.

A period of explosive growth followed the move to Garden Grove, fueling an expansion across the Western United States and the opening of branches in Northern and Southern California, Washington, Oregon, Texas and Arizona. However, after nearly a decade of following this hub-and-spoke model, the brothers found that having a central location for operations was much more productive. A central location allowed for more competitive prices and put into position the ability to ensure the highest level of service to customers.

Today, Caster Tech serves customers around the country and around the globe. Customers range from small logistics operations to some of the finest resorts in the world. But no matter whom the customer may be, one thing is always true: we carry the original spirit of two brothers doing all they can to deliver the best value and quality by finding the right solution to fit customer needs and deliver it on time, every time.
