ALThane™

Capacity: 750 – 1,400 lbs | Diameter: 4″ – 8″

Algood’s most economical wheel packs a punch. Made from a proprietary high-impact polyolefin compound, ALThane™ combines light weight with outstanding capacity. The unique compound gives this wheel high impact strength and excellent floor protection. ALThane™ Wheels are non-marking, non-chipping and can handle abusive applications. In addition, its one-piece construction makes ALThane™ maintenance-free.

ALThane™ Wheels are moisture-friendly, oil and chemical-resistant, non-absorbent and steam cleanable.

Ductile Iron Crowned

Capacity: 15,000 lbs | Diameter: 10″ – 12″

Ductile Iron is a type of graphite-rich cast iron. It has much more impact and fatigue resistance because of the graphite. Ductile iron wheels are also formed using a casting process. They allow for easy rolling while offering excellent floor protection.

The capacity of Ductile Iron Wheels is an incredible 15,000 lbs., and they allow for easy rolling while offering excellent floor protection. Their abrasion-resistant properties are also excellent in harsh environments, and these wheels offer a long service life. Envirothane™ is incredibly versatile and holds outstanding capacities. Excelling indoors/outdoors, protects floors, suits any application, and needs no maintenance.

There is almost nothing that our Envirothane™ Wheel cannot do. It has outstanding capacity, can be used indoors and outdoors, offers remarkable floor protection, is suitable for just about any application and is maintenance-free.

Envirothane™ Wheels are injection moulded with a one-piece construction that eliminates core separation. They are non-marking with a quiet ride that absorbs shock and vibration. A durometer of 65D allows for memory retention that prevents flat spotting. In addition, the crowned tread increases manoeuvrability. Moisture-friendly and chemical-resistant, these wheels are NSF Approved and pair perfectly with stainless steel casters. They are maintenance-free, long-lasting, and increase the longevity of equipment. Finally, they are made from material that is 100% recyclable making it an environmentally responsible choice.

Lava™

Leading the industry in high-temperature wheels, Lava™ Wheels can endure over 500ºF without any degradation. Lava™ Wheels use an exclusively developed high-temp nylon glass filled material, engineered and tested right here at Algood.

With a durometer of 85D, Lava™ Wheels are almost as hard as steel yet as light as a feather, weighing in at as little as 5 oz. That combination makes Lava™ an ergonomic, easy-rolling sensation that resists hard impacts and requires minimum effort to roll and swivel with heavy loads. The Lava™ Wheels capacity goes as high as 3,500 lbs.

Lava™ Wheels will not absorb water and are resistant to most chemicals, solvents, gases, acids, and steam cleaning. With debris rejecting tread, Lava™ wheels won’t flake, chip or crack. That, combined with its one-piece construction, makes these high-temperature wheels maintenance-free and increases the longevity of equipment. NyRoll™

Nyroll™ is non-marking, non-staining, resistant to high-impact abrasion and virtually maintenance-free. This amazing wheel can sustain temperatures from -43ºF to 200ºF and is ROHS compliant.

The Nyroll™ wheel is made from one-piece, solid, high-impact, high-quality nylon and because it is unaffected by water, it’s the ideal choice for wet and wash-down environments. In addition, it is resistant to corrosion, oils, fats, most alkalis, soaps and detergents.

One of the benefits of nylon is that it is unaffected by water and its use in wet environments actually enhances its self-lubricating properties.

Phenolic

Made of macerated canvas impregnated with phenolic resin, the Phenolic wheel is non-marking and provides high floor protection.

These wheels are very light and maintain a high load rating. They provide quieter operation than steel or aluminum, offer easy rolling, superior floor protection, and resist hard impacts, grease, oil and most chemicals and steam.

ProTech™ is the quietist wheel we make. These wheels feature a treaded wheel secured to a polyolefin core, and provide a smooth, cushioned ride that absorbs most shock and vibration.

With a soft, resilient tread, Protech wheels are non-marking and unbelievably floor-friendly on all surfaces. They are highly resistant to most chemicals and moisture friendly. In addition, the tread rejects most floor debris. As a result, they and virtually maintenance-free and will prolong the life of almost all equipment.

ProTech wheels are incredibly versatile with a configuration for just about any application. In addition to the flat tread wheel, a crowned tread option is available to reduce push-pull and increase maneuverability. All configurations are available in the black-on-black combination with blue/black and grey/black available in limited sizes. ProTech’s colours and great looks also make them a favourite for store fixtures as well as hospitality and institutional settings.

PurThane™

Debris is no match for Algood’s hard-working PurThane™ wheel. The tread material is made from a unique polyurethane compound that deflects debris and even better, re-seals itself when the surface is cut.

PurThane’s oversize precision bearings and its crowned tread provide ease of maneuverability and add to the ergonomic benefits of the wheel. The aluminum core will not rust and increases the wheel’s longevity.

PurThane offers maximum floor protection, maintains floor grip, absorbs shock and vibration while providing ease of maneuverability along with a smooth, easy rolling, very quiet ride. It can be used at higher speeds making it a good choice for AGV and towline applications.

Ideal Applications: Asphalt & Abusive Conditions, Uneven Surfaces, Factory Use, Outdoor Use, Platform Trucks, Stock Trucks & Heavy Material Handling.

RollX™

Capacity: 400 – 6,500 lbs | Diameter: 2 5/8″ – 12″

Made from proprietary nylon glass filled material, RollX Wheels are moisture friendly, chemical resistant and has a temperature range of -45ºF to 250ºF. RollX Wheels last longer, have higher capacities, weigh less, come in more sizes and can be used for more applications than any comparable wheel.

RollX’s construction and hardness (Durometer 85D) offer the same capacity as steel wheels without damaging surfaces. These wheels won’t chip, flake or crack and the tread will resist just about any debris. As a one-piece wheel with a washer moulded in, RollX is virtually maintenance free.

These wheels are non-marking and offer excellent floor protection. In addition, they provide outstanding maneuverability and will extend equipment life. If all of that wasn’t enough, RollX wheels are 100% recyclable making them a superior environmental choice.

Options/Components: Wheels can be made with a large variety of bearings as well as side washers and thread guards. The clean design comes in a ribbed or smooth finish.

Solid Steel

Capacity: 300 – 7,500 lbs | Diameter: 3″ – 16″

Forged steel is an alloy of carbon and iron that is compressed under extreme pressure to make a very hard and strong substance. In the forging process heat or force is applied to steel billets or ingots, causing the material to change shape while in a solid state. The resulting highly compressed material is exceptionally durable.

Forged steel is not porous, has a tensile strength of 60,000 PSI and adapts extremely well to surface variations. All of that means these wheels are virtually failure-free. These wheels are extremely hard with a durometer of Rockwell B (80 – 90). That, along with their impressive strength-to-weight ratio, leads to reduced surface friction and allows for easier push/pull.

With a temperature rating that tops out at 1,300ºF, they can be used in bakeries, autoclaves and other extreme heat environments.

V Groove

Capacity: 300 – 15,000 lbs | Diameter: 3″ – 10″

V Groove Wheels enable heavy loads to be guided along an inverted angle iron track with complete control.

Manufactured with a V Groove that guides the wheel along an inverted angle iron track, the 304 V Groove is ideal for rolling saw mills, ovens, ventilation equipment, measurement equipment and heavy-duty assembly line plants.

With the tread on either side of the groove, they can also be used directly on surfaces, providing greater flexibility and better use of available floor space.

V Groove Wheels with Diameters 10″ or larger can be made from 304 Stainless Steel or NyRock™ material.
