Bearing Diagrams
At Caster Technology, we offer a number of bearing solutions across a vast selection of finished caster assemblies. Each combination accommodates a variety of use scenarios.
For radial loads, ball bearings or cylindrical roller bearings are ideal, while thrust bearings are preferred for axial loads, and tapered or angular contact bearings are suitable for combined loads. High-speed applications typically use ball bearings due to their lower friction, whereas lower-speed, heavy-load setups favor roller bearings for durability. Spherical bearings are effective at accommodating shaft misalignment, and compact designs may necessitate thin-section or integrated bearing types. For corrosive environments, stainless steel or ceramic bearings are used, and high-temperature applications may require specialized materials or lubricants.
