The EMD Series combines the compact mounting plate of our proven Maxi-Duty Series with the robust swivel construction of our Ultra Maxi-Duty (UMD) Series. This hybrid design delivers a cost-effective alternative to the UMD, capable of handling loads up to 36,800 lbs. Its dual forged steel wheels are precision-machined with a slight crown to optimize rollability and swivel performance.

EMD2 Series Features & Specs.

  • Swivel Construction
    5/8″ thick drop forged steel mounting plate (rigid plate 1/2″ thick) joined with a 1″ thick swivel base; 3/4″ thick precision laser cut steel legs are continuously welded inside and outside the 1″ thick swivel base.
  • Kingpin
    1 1/4″ diameter integrally forged with mounting plate guaranteed for life, prevents bending or breaking; threaded for special 1 1/4″ combined CRS thrust spacer & slotted nut secured by roll pin for positive locking.
  • Main Load Bearing
    HPI™ thrust ball bearing with a 7″ diameter rated to a comfortable 100,000 lbs.
  • Secondary Load Bearing
    1 1/4″ extra heavy precision tapered thrust bearing counteracts radial thrust.
  • Axle
    1 1/2″ diameter turned, ground, and polished with slotted nut and cotter pin. 1 1/4″ diameter on 8″ wheels.
  • Lubrication Fittings
    Ball-check type in swivel assembly and in wheel hubs.
